Sensless ranting. July

Does this make me Famous Yet?

It's interesting, I was searching again for a site on the intertubes that has all the future predictors and you can pick and choose who you want oracle from. I have tried many search words but cant refind the site. It has everyone from Delphi to the webbot, it breaks my heart I cant find the site. Anyway while searching I tried webot and on the first page there was a link to my page . I mean I was the bottom of the list but still. As I used to say about my tv show it may be the bottom of the barrel, but I’m in it. I guess I should thank urbansurvival.com as they directed me to here.
Go figure, I mean if people are looking at me to know the future, I have to tell them don't pay no attention to me. I'm not going to lie and say I can't see the future , in fact its quite easy because consequences arise from both action and inaction. Every decision leads to a possibly fate. This is future telling via extrapolation. If you look at the possible actions , and then guess the possible outcomes for each action this is the scientific method of prognosticating. This thought process is done repeatedly from childhood on. We all do it , or should anyway. This form of future telling is one of our base survival instincts , like fight or flight it is there to help us with self preservation and even species and gene reproduction. The two main goals of any individual from ameba on up.
While deciding between Vanilla or chocolate mostly wont cause immediate change to your life, even these small decisions create patterns that shapes your future. As we form the being that is us , we tend to become ingrained in these patterns. In a way we become predictable, even though we might think we make each choice separately , we generally make most of these choices do to prior experiences. By taking into account a predisposition to choice making we can predict the future of said individual to external circumstances.
Lots of 2 dollar words to describe what could be called being in a rut. And the rut is your fate, destiny /future. Speaking of Dollars I’ll ask the 64 dollar question , is the future set and unchangeable? I tend to think of time in metaphors and similes . Like water going downhill, it will always seek the lowest point. You can alter its path and even its location , but the water will always seek its lowest point.
Then there is the other simile, the future is like a snowball going down a hill , once it gains a certain momentum it is unstoppable. If your wondering on the future in the big scale this is where were at now, future events that have reached a speed and force as to be unstoppable. The question to me and I’ll give this one for free is could it have ever been stopped? I believe that all life is unique because it is the product of stimuli and response. Each being encounters its own circumstances , in most it has to do with geography and weather?
What most people seem to forget about religion is that most of the time your religion is chosen do to where you live or are born. While you could say parental influence is greatly involved consider where they got there religion from.
Then theirs nationality do I even have to explain why I’m an American, its because this is where I’m from. Now while religion and nationality are alterable we can’t change where and when we are born. Or even what we are. Not to lay my beliefs on you , just for argument lets say that we have this eternal soul thing going. If so am I not just a traveling spirit going from life cycle to life cycle? Again with the if so then couldn’t I be anything? Or been anything?
I guess it seems off topic but the point would be do we have a free will to decide a future or is it laid out for us , both by predetermined fate and a predictable response to stimuli.
It’s part of why I see the future as a dark and troublesome time. We the people seem to piece by piece seem to becoming acceptant of whatever future that is now laid out for us.
The thing is could we stop it? And will we try? And bad grammar aside if we cant stop it why try ? I’ve always tried to be acceptant of my fate, it seems the logical thing to do,. After all you cant change it or it wouldn’t be fate. Now I’m talking my personal fate or destiny including how and when I die. That is really easy enough it happens to everything it is unavoidable , the trick is to fill the time between birth and death with as much life as you can. And remember it’s always too short.
Then theirs the future on a larger scale. Do I accept the present and the coming future as fate, that this is how it is supposed to be? I think a lot of people will do this , just ignore or block out the bad stuff and pursue there own happiness in the time span allotted them. I can’t hardly blame them , except that they are compounding the problem by pretending it doesn’t exist. An easy example might be a leaky garden hose, at first its just a little leak , but if its not fixed the next thing you know it damages your foundation causing the house to settle . Causing the walls to crack, which allows the elements to work on the cracks , if not fixed in time the hose will bring down the entire house. We are long past the time when replacing a washer would fix anything .
Actually we are getting to the point where moving might be the easiest step. The problem being where exactly do we go next? We are nowhere near the technological advances to be able to boldly go where no man has gone before. I think that one thing that might help mankind is if they realize that theirs nowhere to run , nowhere to hide. As Sun Tzu said in the art of war, when your surrounded , tell your troops that they are all going to die , here today , and they will fight like never before , with superhuman strength. Paraphrased of course.
So there is the possibility of a wake up call, if the circumstances demanded action , at the cost of personal death we might make the necessary changes. Winston Churchill said it about Americans , but I think it will hold for all humanity now. “Americans can be counted on to do the right thing , but only after it is totally necessary and the last resort.” He also said something about how it’s after they get done whining about it too, and he could of added after making sure they found someone else to blame.
I will have to do a post on blame but for here I’ll say that while I totally agree with holding They responsible accountable , I know as you do , that we all share some of the blame . Not only that we will all suffer the consequences of those action’s.
As much as I dislike using four letter word’s the next point calls for a little PG quote, so if you’re a kid or don’t like that kind of language , close your eyes for this next line . As far as the consequences I know that you know it has always been this way. “Life is like a Shit sandwich, the more bread you have the less shit you have to eat”.
Bread will help but there will still be plenty of you know what to be ate. Part of a greater awakening would probably involve spreading that shit around to make sure everyone gets a taste. As all Alcoholics know realizing there is a problem is just the first step to recovery. Even if somehow someway everyone became aware and decided to care this alone would solve nothing.
As a prognostic-fier I know that there are some futures that nothing we do can change. Then all that we’ve ever done will matter not . A good side of this is hey it won’t be our fault . If an asteroid has our name on it , who’ particular party you have voted for isn’t really going to matter. The same with all death , if its your time there’s nothing you can do about it,.
We know that’s not quite right , we still have a choice on how we face our destiny. The trick is you only get one shot at it, at least per life. A good thing is that I really don’t think it matter’s all that much if you get it right.
Acceptance will be a big factor in these kind of future’s. what will people do, when it no longer matters what they do. I think there will be some very big faith testing , and some will always hold out hope for their savior , and truly any savior would do. Especially with our Hollywood brainwashed minds, wont we be expecting some happy ending that they always seem to write in.
I mean look at all the disaster flicks of the last decade , they all come with their own sappy ending whereby anyone you care about doesn’t die, unless it’s to save the rest of the world. What are these movies trying to tell us? And they are teaching us , influencing our lives and the future decisions we make. It’s truly sad but one of the things I see that the movies have in common , desensitation , I hope that’s a word. Notice how many times a city will get destroyed somewhere else yet as long as the main characters miraculously escape , it’s a happy ending, the supposition that hundreds of thousands of movie characters are dead is glossed over by the two main characters working out there differences and falling in love. This says two things to me . First is who writes this crap, and second that the point their getting across is that who cares if cities or countries are destroyed as long as you are unaffected it’s not that bad. To me it says a little bit about character that we supposedly care that the hero gets the girl but not to worry about entire cities getting destroyed.
While we cant blame it all on the crappy movies of today , because this is part of the code that has been in place since 1932 basically. This code has two sides , first there is the spoken out there part, which was originally to rein in the film makers . Of course no nudity no blood no gore , that lasted until they started the rating system . Wahoo it only took about 40 years to get some skin back on the screen. Not to mention blood and gore. Not that gore was big in the thirties , and really there wasn’t all that much nudity, Being way off subject I think two recommendable movies that were held as proof that a code was needed. The first is of course “Sign of the Cross” by Cecil B. Demile a true classic including the maybe best bath scene ever with Claudette Colbert, and no I’m not recomending porn but Cecil B. Found that you could get away with a lot if you make it a religous movie. The second also a favorite of mine and the best tarzan movie “Tarzan and his Mate” the second with Johny Weismiller as Tarzan. Congress actually got mad and legislators threatened to like enforce a code of their own. To counter the film industry enacted their own code and hired a judge to enforce it. All this over Jane in a Two piece and Claudette in a milk bath.
The main point is that the government found out it could control the content of the movie industry. And they could use it for propaganda as well as give people an idea of how they should be, and act, and desire. During world war two the entire American film industry was directed and controlled by the government with the military having final say on any scene in every movie, including being able to cancel any film that sent the wrong moral message. Watch a war movie of the time even up to today, have you ever seen us miss with a bomb? In the movies our bombers never missed, this was and apparently is rule number one, because I still havent really scene it. I was in Germany and saw the pictures , the town I was in was blown to bits to hit a factory.. They missed plenty. And when you miss with a plane load of bombs , a lot of bystanders are going to be killed, you know women and children , in schools , hospitals, homes.
If your selling a war that’s not the stuff you focus on. Even though film was around during WW1 it wasn’t used as a successful tool / weapon until after the armesist or as I call the hey lets take a break and refinance so we can rearm and have a bigger better world war. So if for national security films scripts could be delivered to push there cause , in public support, and recruiting. Not to mention casting themselves as the absolute good guys. Of course back then we were the good guys, mostly. Now forget that Hitler was financed by interests in the U.S. after all he was an honorary member of the Republican party. Also lets forget that The Germans were running on American tires, or at least a company from America that used Warsaw ghetto slaves to make tires for Hitler to go all Blitzkrieg on Europe.
I think that would of been Roosevelt’s excuse for going to the Movie industry which by then was pretty much corporate controlled and asking them to make a movie or two that focused on the Germans and the Japanese as scary bad guys like “Rising Sun” With James Cagney and one that was the class of them Charlie Chaplin’s “The Little Dictator.” I think of Chaplins as work of art but Rising sun was total propaganda part of a very controlled media blitz to engage the U.S. in The War. Throw in a surprise attack and he had his war. Good for him when you think of it , but he created a dangerous weapon. That was why the military took control of Hollywood. As usual it would be a freedom that we the people have to give up in times of need.
But as Robert Duvall said in Apocalypse Now “ Some day all this is going to end”. With the war ending the military/ government was expected to go back to their own business except for a less formal gentleman’s agreement. After all war movies always made money, meaning they received more box office money than the movies cost to make. They cost a lot less to make if the military provide the equipment, and even provide actual battle scenes all on the taxpayer by the way.
Then there was the Military Industrial Complex that could use the good press to push for the need for new wars. This would of been before they had the name, just the idea of keeping the gravy train rolling.
I always liked Harry Truman although its mostly because he is the fourth most famous person to come out of Missouri, however it seems like now that he probably used the atomic bombs on Japan to show the Russians how tough we are, not to mention Korea and he started sending the funds that eventually became the Vietnam conflict. Its kind of backward in a way that a democrat dropped the big one, and the president who was a general and a republican not only ended the fighting in Korea he also tried to warn us of the MIC, in fact his fair well address was the first time military industrial complex was used as a phrase.
Think of how many other wars we would of had if war movies hadn’t gone out of style.
The war movies arent the buisness the used to be , but the rules that were put in are still basically the same. These rules are as I said before are to influence the way we think and act, put there by people who don’t believe a word of it.
Some of the rules, The bad guy must always pay, cheaters never prosper, god is always right, . They have slightly changed and evolved over the years, some that have changed the most are of course sexual. In the old day’s all unmarried women were virgins or prostitutes. This from the land of the casting couch. Directed by repressed congressman who wished they had a casting couch.
They made these rules to direct how you are to think act and spend. Not them they knew that the bad guys do win and not all unmarried women were virgins, it’s almost as bad as Paul the apostle writing the rules of how people should live. Really its kind of the same thing, attempting to control the masses to act in a certain way to certain circumstances. And again it’s usually a messed up individual making these rules.
Not that there all bad , and I believe in my own moral code because I think it is a better way to live. I do try to remember how I got this code , is it mine or a combo of Film tv and religion? Where else could it have come from? As an individualist I like to think that you and I have cut threw the ulterior motives of the code givers and decided what we think is right or wrong based on our version of the truth.
I think I forgot school , which for me was not much more than a cup of coffee. Except for maybe math I eventually learned that everything I was taught in school was a lie or just wrong.
I’m being cynical but not by much. The same forces that shaped entertainment controlled the schools.
Then there is the parent and I’ll admit they are a major part of our personal code, but in the end we learn most by monkey see monkey do. They don’t say “little pictures have big ears” for nothing .
I think a good example is the country song “Skip a Rope” and the chorus, listen to the children while they play, aint it kind of funny what the children say. In other words they see and hear what parents do as well as what they tell them. I guess the trouble is that parents are trapped in the same world they are sending their children into.
Oh future world what is in store for you. To make a prophecy I feel that time will go on regardless of what happens, or if there is anyone to note it. Mortality aside there is always a future. This to me is good news even if time is winding down it will find a way to rewind or unwind, depending on how you look at it.
isn’t time running out our all-time biggest fear? or should it be? Time equals mortality squared by the desire of immortality. The more we want to live forever the shorter time we actually have seems. Yet it is this vast expansion of time that leads to the hope of more, if it was just this short blink of an eye that a lifespan is, would there be the same drive to keep the cycle going. Besides for the sex thats involved in propagating your species the rest would seem useless. I wonder if a bee who knew of his very short, probably terrible end would continue on pollinating and gathering for the hive, or what he see’s as the greater good.
As there are many lessons to be learned from watching nature do her thing we’ll look at the bee here. I realize the underlying reason for its action when pollinating , which is food , I’ve still noticed how driven the bee is to going from flower to flower checking to see if they are ready to make plant babies, or grow fruit. While they have been laughing at me , I notice they check out my garden plants everyday waiting for the right time. I wonder if they could take a day off , maybe eat some of the food they have collected.
Do they know the service they do for the planet , and how necessary they are to the cycle of life? Do you think they even know about pollination ? Are they just hungry always?
Do they think that they will work so long and then retire to the hive?
Do they think that the great provider that they work tirelessly for will reward them with an afterlife?
Or are they buddhist’s who think they will be given another life? Is being a bee just a phase they are going through? If they truly knew their fate would they still live out there role? If they knew of their short life span would they continue to go to bed early , so they can get up early , so they can go to work early, so they can get done early, so they can get to bed early? I wonder.
Is it a matter of intelligence are they just not smart enough to question their existence? Certainly if they knew, they would have a choice, not that flying from flower to flower is a bad job, its that the main part of the job seems to be the maintaining or continuation of a society , at the cost of their own life eventually blended into the live’s of all the nameless others that came before as well as those to come.
What if the bees became aware that their lifespans were only a matter of weeks, unless of course they were of the higher anarchy as in queen and her clique. What if they realized the value of their life as equal to the celebrity almost devotional higher up’s in the hive. Would they still be gung-ho to give up their live to protect the queen?
What if the worker read a study of life-spans of the hive members. If he was to realize that the harder , faster he worked , the sooner he would be dead , that awareness could and maybe even has had an effect on the hive and therefore the world in whole. After all isnt that worker bee one of the most important beings on the planet. Not to burst mankinds bubble of superiority , but that bee has done more good for the planet and life cycle than all of mankind.
So we really need that little guy to get to bed early so he can get to work on making breakfast. Then there’s the thing of awareness what if the bee was to see the whole and ask himself is it worth it. What if he started thinking as I always have , that the smart move is to work less get paid more.
What if he took a look around him and realized how little it would take for him to exist if he was to just lose the big hive lifestyle behind. If he became aware that the hive was soon to be destroyed, either due to overpopulation, or war, or the encroachment of a larger species and knew that all societies before him had eventually failed and his would also.
With awareness he would also have the new burden of choice. Couldn’t he even question if he should perpetuate this system or his job. Surely if he had a job in the defense of the hive and it’s main citizen’s he might have new questions, or really new attitude’s on him and his hive-mates giving their lives to protect the hive , that you know is doomed anyway , for other bee’s that you probably never met at least not since you were born.
So you would have to choose between a life of servility out of loyalty, I guess mostly based on family tradition and history, and a more self based existence where you strive for more of your fair share of life. I’m glad it is his decision because selfishness is not part of a bees character make up.
And then maybe I’m being prejudgmental thinking the bee wouldn’t have the brain capacity to handle free will, or the ability to judge what is best for him.
Poor bee , would his life be better or worse with awareness. Which is a sad thing about awareness is now you know and can never unknow. , it is definitely good news and bad. In fact mostly bad. The only good for certain would be the chance to change.
Now I would never tell this to a bee , but they are being used by a larger species , and given very little in return. Of course we have to differentiate between a wild or free bee and the domesticated , or slave bee. It’s of course the slave bee that would be most in need of aware-ing . And he is a slave , to a system where he works until he dies, while the profit for his labor is kept by his power that be. Not only that the profits earned by his labor are invested in the enslaving of more of his people.
So by beeing a bee he is perpetuating a system , engrained in his genes, and taught to him from birth. Not that it happened but suppose the slave bee’s did become aware , and decided to return to the natural world?
If I was communicating with my bee brother’s and sister’s I would say the good news is that their’s is a noble necessary function that we depend on. I’d also say I’m glad it’s not my decision to make. I’m glad I don’t live in a deteriating social order based on repeating the cycles , where the few profit off the many. In a hive destined to failure due to increasing demands, and poor maintenance, trying to complete my little insignificant life-span before the collapse .
Poor bee his awareness is the weight of the world.
AS alway’s I do go on and with that I’ll go out.
Peace and Love B.
