Stills of Summer

Summer Solstice 2010. This is such a good thing, celebrating the solstice and equinox at a site over a thousand years old is pretty good for a country boy. This is wood henge. This is my second time, almost saw it this time , which is the alignment of those poles on the sun during the longest and shortest days of the year. Someday when were older I'll tell you the story of the Mound people.

It has been a sad year for me film wise my camera is shot and I don't need to shoot the volume of video I used to, at least until I get something going here on the net. I still love shooting video and try to keep a camera ready at all times , because you never know what you might see, and you have to be ready .
After shooting a nature show for six years it's funny how little tape I have used this year. I more or less used my last compact vhs camera the whole summer , while using one tape. which unfortunately came out mostly unusable.
I'm going to throw on the blog a few stills of summer. Don't despair my summer hasn't been as slim as the pictures. I've been writing on CHUD. I just about have a second part ready to post. I keep moving slowly , it's of course always one thing and then another but I have tons of old video to post , I think to get things moving, I'm going to work on posting some stills .

Dont think I have seen this flower before . I'm calling it Bryanstar. At least until I find out it has a real name. These are some wildflowers that I shot on a summer hunting expedition. I've filmed a lot of wildflowers , but this is the first time I've seen this one.
I like a little sci-fi every once in a while. We always think of Aliens as semi humanoid. But my friend here could have a seed that can withstand ultimate zero, or whatever temperature space could give him. That seed would be light enough and hydrodynamical enough to travel into the upper's sphere, and if it catches the right thermal wind be blasted out into space. Which also means my little buddy could of even came from space. Not for nothing the first in space goes hands down to the plant world.
About the flowers I used my Pinnacle movie thing on most of them. The colors are enhanced but are pretty accurate to the real flower.
