Rusty Knight Paul in 2012 Just in case the World Doesn't End
Sure I'm taking a quick look at politics starting on Doctor Ron Paul the Libertarian Republican candidate for the GOP . Its not that I want to endorse him . I have said if he runs as an independent I would maybe vote for him.
I'd have to answer some of the questions that have been levied against him. Most importantly to me is also determine whether the questions actually matter to me. Of course I think of it as all or mostly a play written by the PTB to keep us mentally confused and involved in waiting for the new boss or sticking with the old boss. All that matters to They is that they get to give us any choice we think we have.
Or really that we turn the wheels by continuing to comply and conform into the laws of the Land for another three years two at least. 2012 will be spent making our Choice , 2013 at least seeing what the new boss actually does , or in this case odds favor waiting to see where the old boss takes us.
Maybe I should make my guess at the election which I figured is a continuation of the last election. Basically we elected a Republican as a democrat, or you could say the Republicorps AKA brand R planted millions of dollars into the campaign of Obama to unseat Clinton as the nominee, knowing that they had no chance to win the overall election , maybe holding on to the thought that we would never elect a black man to the presidency.
Still after he won the nomination brand R then went into full tanking . I mean no matter what President Obama has done or intends to do, nobody thinks we should have elected McCain and Palin. They were never intended to win. Thank God. Even though it does look like John McCain would have lived long enough to have served his term, the stress level on him might of made it a lot different and nobody in their right mind would want scary Sarah running the show.
I voted for Obama because there was no choice, just as there will end up being none this time. Its the republicorps job in the next few months to nominate one of their unelectable's so that it will seem as though we decided to dive into Fascism from our own free will.
Not that it will matter if you chose there guy you'd still lose only you would have two years or more to figure it out. Either way it don't look good. At this point their will be nothing to even study about the coming election other than the Billions that will be spent to do the PTB's dramatic farce I think Ill call it "Choice for Hope'. I've heard this somewhere about something to do with expecting the tactics that got you into your mess will work if you just keep doing them.
Or expecting the people who put us here to have a heart and let up on us. If nothing else like the cat that lets a mouse go , for the fun of catching it again. You already know how MAD society is even still thinking that the oil companies and coal companies are going to lead the way into renewable energies, I mean that would put a dent in profits right? same with expecting politicians to regulate the billions that is coming their way this year.
That has to be one of the best scams going , running for national office. Once you get going you get campaign money coming in, I mean even the losers that know they have no chance collect millions to spend on the campaign , to think you have a choice. Once you drop out the money left is basically yours to misspend. I have never heard anyone checking the financial records of the losers.
Common thought is you keep it for the next election. But I wonder. Not that I worry too much I mean not a one of them has ever gotten a dime from me they didn't steal. It is this money that is the great corrupter , nobody can come through this system without becoming a part of it , selling their soul for cash and a promise of power, along with a promise of more cash to come , after all the Bottom Line is the Bottom Line.
All of the choices we have fill this profile to a T except Ron Paul. He's basically a third party candidate using Brand R as a platform to get his message out. It's media wisdom that he has no chance to win, if you talk to die hard Republicans they all say he has no chance to win the nomination. He is for one not tall enough, he doesnt have the right hair , he's too old, and he definetly doesn't have the PCILF thing going for him.
Plus on the issues he's against everything they are told to stand for. Even that he uses issues is verboten. Later I might really have to check on what Paul's issue's are, nowadays its funny to even have them. The brand R motto is anything to beat Obama, kind of a joke on the diehards on either side is they expect there guy from brand D to really win., so they can keep the faithful paying into the pot for the 2016 debacle. If they actually win with a brand R theye'd have to come up with all new slogans.
What they really want is a candidate that if he wins will carry on the same agenda as the last two administrations , just in case. Paul at this time seems like the the only choice to have a choice. The lapdog lieing media would have the sheeple believe that people are voting for Paul as a protest vote.
Before I carry on I wanted to get into the media views or coverage of Ron Pauls campaign, Mostly what caught my eye was the glee to which they dismiss him as not worth mentioning. Unless of course its the newsletter scandal. Personally I think twenty year old newsletters is pretty small potatoes considering the attention in all media it has received.
I can see that the question is Paul a racist is a valid question. But he is a republican so the answer is more than likely yes , I mean I could get real mean and say that it would be hard to not be racist and get the brand R nomination. Yet the PTB in the form of the media especially the internet also used the same tactic against Hillary so, if it worked then it will work now, though the more they use it the more chance it will exposed. So playing it now would indicate that the PTB see Paul as a threat. Or is this what they want us to think.???
The same tactic attacking Paul with their media machine could be a way of promoting him with some free press. I'm going to paste a few comments I have read on Paul some of them so outrageous they gotta be kidding.
I think one of the more telling of the tells, in poker talk is the non-mention of Paul on the television. They believe that the television is where the next election is decided. Which to them is nice considering they own the TV. and can control everything that goes into it. Another plea to your sanity , do yourself a favor unplug your tv from its receptors. this the part of the play that will be big production stuff for the PTB. Where your money is no object. We will probably see the first million dollar campaign add this year.
I fear the "subliminal's on this one will be mesmerizing" said an unknown tv critic. Or would of if I wasn't lying, which brings me back to the commercial in today's technical world they have the tools to bring anything they can think of into tv reality. Meaning if you see it it must be true. This is as wrong as thinking if it was true they would tell us.
I've went on many times how tv is the devil ,but if they wanted to implant a message in the minds of the peoples through the use of subliminal messaging to brain train us into mass think , this is a golden opportunity, most likely to completely saturate the public they would use 2 advertisements , from both brand R and D both with the same message like Must Obey Me , and run it night and day for month's until we make our choice , to bend over and take it as the narcissist would say.
Back to the media who believe Paul has no chance are still saying it will of course be Romney anyway so suck it up get behind your brand. Paul however just doesn't fit in with the plot line. First off I'm pro anyone who is anti-war , but that was thought of as a democratic thing, up till the current warmonger in chief. So if I follow my beliefs I'm for the other guy. It would never work for them it would be like making Walter Mathow Felix Unger for most of you, it would be like people switching roles in the sequel we'll spend the whole campaign going Huh. explain that again. So brand D is now using Brand R formula and brand R is now brand D.
Better to keep it simple just spend a bunch of money on campaign adds in the primary let everybody slice up the pie and wait for brand R to nominate the right guy , somebody even more R and the R guy they secretly own the stock of. Keep it simple put up a right winger religious mulch-millionare with decent hair and then get ready for the next cycle.
Which then leads to the best story as far as their concerned how much money there is being spent on advertising. Especially on the net anybody with decent traffic to there site should get a piece of the billions to be spent once it gets down to two. I know wishful thinking that my soul might be worth cash money. but one I have no traffic here or anywhere, and two I'm hanging on to my soul as long as I can afford it. Personally I wouldn't sell my soul. maybe trade it but not for a side check to pay for me operating a website. Lots of money will be moved around influencing the way a lot of the pundits will think.
Money is Money another brand motto that we all seem to have to buy into. Its hard to argue with the feeling that the moneys there somebody is gonna get it, I could really use it. Blah blah blah back to a point is with the money going into this is their any chance of anyone involved not being corrupted by the want of all evil?
Thats probably why I thought of rusty night, not only is Paul a little old for the job ( if we ever get to the point where we put our leaders into cage matches and let them fight it out instead of the peoples Paul wouldn't be our first choice) celebrity leader death match aside he seems healthy enough to make it at least four years, the big test in the question almost always is will your candidate live to see the job through. Like Mccain this can hurt you , especially because this focuses attention on your running mate.
When Obama was elected he was young enough that nobody even remembers who his running mate was. however it will be a while before we forget the exploits of Sarah Palin, who combined the terms wing nut and dingbat into the now popular into the ding nut, a tradition carried on by Michelle my husband who used to be gay, is out shopping for dog sunglasses Bachmann. A pity she supposedly is dropping out , what will Comedy Central do without her.
Well the point was supposed to be here is the old guy who's getting ready to either get voted down by the frontrunners , or if he continues to poll high recieve huge sums of money. Nobody has ever come through this money gauntlet unchanged. the question is how much they were corrupted verses what they were to begin with. I never heard of Obama before he received billions of dollars , so I don't know maybe he was always a fascist warmonger? I didn;t see it on his campaign pamphlets,I didn't look why bother there was no choice anyway.
Which is the choice they want us to spend the next ten months making Again, who is the lesser of two evils. Except for the Clinton votes this has been the standard choice since Nixon. I think the big trick for them is out of a country of millions they like to make us think this is the best we can do.
Which makes me think is Ron Paul a real choice or as usual a puppet to make the people hope. Or is he the bat crap crazy guy the media says he is. These questions will probably answer themselves , or The money men will win the nomination and they will get off picking on each other and get to picking on the brand D guy they are in fact-ish campaigning to re-elect.
For sure this would be one of the most bizzaro world elections even with out it being 2012 , the possible end as we know it of Bizzarro land. Personally I think its all a game or a play really , still it would be interesting to see a dream three way tag team match winner take all for the head fascist of the world.
In one corner brand D the Champs Barack Obama and the guy we haven't seen Joe Biden, taking on Brand R Milt Romney the anyman millionare and his partner man on dog Rick Santorum, verses the baby faces (Wrestling term for good guy characters) Doctor Ron Paul and his partner Jesse The Body/the governor/tv host Ventura.
I think it could headline wrestlemania, and of course in a fight could you go for any of them over Ventura, not only a wrestler he was a navy seal and probably the only one of them to personally kill another human.
Unfortunately I dont think we will see a death match for the presidency , it would still make it at least interesting to throw in a third team. As they say the guys who have no chance. As an American we believe of course voting third party is throwing your vote away. This might be one of the few years when throwing your vote away is the best decision we can make. Both brands will tell us that voting for the third choice is voting against your guy , and helping their guy. Maybe they will throw in the stupidness that said Pat Buchanan running in Florida gave Bush the 2000 election.
This year I am more than willing to throw my vote away, like it matters anyway.
Not that I am what They call a Paul Fanatic, which is kind of like saying the lunatics who support Paul. Which brings me to the man himself, through the vision I would have of him if I paid attention to the media.
One thing I've noticed is except for a few doomer blogs nobody likes Dr. Paul. If they mention him its pretty much to try and discredit him, label him , and move on to the real candidates, mostly there guy. Its hard to tell if the writer likes Paul on that one even though they never forget to tell you Paul is a loon. Its From Soorcha Falls so of course its crazy, but lately I find that what She?he they say on their blog is repeated and spread through most of the doom sites only the more it's posted the more people think its true.
Its a variation on Pauls libertarian party policies that is designed to relent power to the states, which is designed to get this bring back slavery, based on the Sanatorium logic that if you let same sex people get married then the next thing you know people will be marrying their dogs. If the States were allowed to make their own laws surely the southern states would reenact slavery.

That's right I won't spoil the rest of the article but Soorcha thinks he's the new Hitler.
I definitely would look at the records of the brands running for the office. So I'll have to check out Paul as things go on. As it is he is the only thing standing between us and the boring corporate state election they want us to have. It will be fun to see how long Paul stays in the fray at least, even though common wisdom tells us that if he has a real chance to be President they will kill him, or buy him , but most likely assassinate him. So if THEY kill him then we will know for real that he at least wanted to try and help us.
Thank the Chinese we will be blessed to get through this year of most interesting times. There are a few things I will be distracting myself with usually elections get real hard to ignore,this one we should embrace just for the heck of it, as I said in the title Paul in 2012, just in case the world as we know it doesn't end . Predication on a Mad Cow.

Shooting Fish in a barrel... And some seriously inane ranting
It sounds quite obvious but I would like to offer a few predications on next year, including a bit of a review on the year fastly closing on us. Quite a lot to do , I couldn't begin to list all the disasters and crazy things that happened this year , let alone all the doom that didn't happen.
The two biggest on either side Would be the big one that did happen Fukishima, undoubtedly this will go on record as the worst manmade disaster of all time, until next year. Six nuclear reactors in some stage of meltdown, I think this story will get bigger and bigger, as we find out where all the nuclear rods melted to, as in are they going China syndrome, escaping their containment ponds and then melting through the earth eating a hole in the planet . Or is it releasing a giant cloud of radiation that will turn us all into into CHUD? (Canabalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers) or if your more comfortable maybe it will just turn us more into zombies, only now will be mutants as well as brain dead.
Then the doom that didn't happen. Comet Elenin, would top the list of maybe 100's of predicted dooms. Lets not forget that there was the fake 2012, a nonrapture, About 200 predictions of martial law being imposed. And lets not forget that daily the world economy was supposed to crash and burn.
That's all okay though because besides for poor Elenin getting ate by the sun, all these predictions are already recycled into the first part of next year. Did I add to all the mis-predictions? I try , I mean Elenin and the space junk which kind of kept my planet X hope's alive.
It was my theory then that if Planet X was coming , this would be the stuff on the outer edge of the stars sun (Nibiru/Pawhana), meaning that the next wave of junk will be bigger and come closer . Eventually there will be contact.
Ok we all know it is the long shot for a twenty twelve event at this point. If there was a way to bet I'd still throw my money down on Planet X , but more in the way of it's my home team. I will say if the Mayans and the Hopi could of saw something coming , what would be more obvious , than a star system that probably had just hit them ?
I think all eyes on space junk now should look for the Blue Kachina, if we see that in some way in the sky I'm going total preparing for planet X, which includes all the fun stuff from pole shifts to giant waves, with continents sliding all over the planet , it will be something .
One good thing and there are many is that the blue star falling will be a very obvious sign. It wont sneak up on us like say the Stinkin' Lizards plan would be. If we are to be enslaved-er by Aliens there plan would be to tell us after it has already happened.
Last year I predicted that Weather would be the biggest issue on the planet, aside from the Earthquakes which are in a way related to weather , as the heating and cooling of the planet causes the earth to contract and expand , causing stress on the plates, I think I was right.
Right now we are beginning a new phase in global climate change, the big sign of it is and will be the changing winds. First off if anybody still wears toupees forget about it. For us it will be the increase of wind storms , and straight line winds. Maybe what we won't see will hurt us most. The changing of the wind patterns which will affect what we consider normal weather patterns.
This has already become obvious to the farm ladies In Africa and is being studied by the climatologist in the Arctic. The winds are changing directions , that’s why possibly that the lady who could plant knowing when the rains will come no longer has a clue, the winds drive the weather fronts.
This is a prediction, based on things happening now that will affect us next year, I have no crystal balls (excuse the French) . I think the changing of the wind patterns going on at both poles now will have a large effect on our weather starting this winter , but becoming hugely obvious by late spring. What will be obvious is that not only has it changed , there's no going back. What remains to be seen is will we just get new weather as in the patterns just change, or it loses patterns at all and just becomes unpredictable. Either way we won't know next year, this is the kind of thing that has to work itself out over long periods of time. All we'll know is the weather will get crazier, and worse from a human point of view.
Not that we the humans will notice but this year we will lose a lot of species to extinction, the weather will help, pushing already stressed and decimated critters into the science/history books. I can hope that we at least save the dna maybe some cells , eggs sperm even of some of the larger critters to go.
Not that we can save them all, even if we tried. Not to make a big deal on it but our little buddies the frog are on the way out. Only there are a few thousand different versions and we haven't even discovered some of them , that will probably go out first. Being they live on land and water and breath the chemed up air they are the most vulnerable.
We will slightly notice the lack of croaking but the real thing to wake us up will be the health and continued existence of the pollinators. Maybe if the news comes out on tv that crops will be greatly reduced especially fruit because not only did we lose the honeybee we lost the Bats.
Okay we wont notice the bats , but we will notice the higher prices and less supply and varieties of fruit. Most of our veggies are bug pollinated usually from bee farmers who let their slaves the bees do all the work.
In the natural world I predict a very bad time for the remaining bats, may they fly again in the spring.
In our manmade world, the same one causing so much trouble for the rest of the planet I think we can expect more of the same, only different. Different because it will be happening again and again, the same just more intense. Speed will be the key, second to none except size and quantity.
I promised myself to stay away from the doomy stuff this year, as much as possible, poor bats,
As much as I would have preferred planet X I do think attention should be payed to Sol, not that there will be a lot we can do about it the sun is on a cycle to get hotter, or bigger? At least hotter. There are again other factors , a super volcano that covered the atmosphere in dust would cool us down just enough to miss a summer or two. Of course its a fine line between Krakatoa and Yellowstone.
I cant remember where I heard this, these volcanoes while they could still do major damage , they have already had their big moments , they don’t have the magma they used to in their day. The super volcano to worry about is the one we've never or barely heard of. The one that we probably don’t know its there. La Garita Caldera fits the bill for us topsiders Whakamaru for the way down southers. Talk about picking names out of a hat I like lagarita has a ring to it and it hasnt done anything in 23 million years, That is a long time even for immortals. I don’t think they have looked for super-volcanoes much in a lot of places , I predict they could find at least one in Africa.
Sorry about Wakamaru it sounds like something to dip your chips in. I think in the south the super to look for is in South America. Obviously it would be the one they are currently studying in Bolivia I think yet if its suped up it will involve multi-countries and probably start with eruptions happening in a few places and they figure out that the lava from all of them comes from the same tank. Since this story is already started its not a fair prediction, though really all I see is escalations , the cycle getting stronger.
One knock on Lagarita caldera is the Hopi's never saw it coming. While that’s a plus , it has become very obvious to me what they did see. What every disaster flick has missed when they talk of a nuclear decimated age to come, It's not the bomb that is everyday a ticking doom, though it's given me a lifetime of pleasurable worry that some idiot even accidentally set off a chain reaction of retaliations known as MAD.
Not that I don't associate, being a Mad cowboy myself I think along the lines of Mutually Assured Destruction, only it is supposed to be a restraint. We'd be one very nice people if everyone was capable of wiping out the planet with a push of the button. We'd be nice or all dead.
I am sure this is not just Ameriken brainwashing that we can conceive of governments including our own willing to blow up the planet for a good reason? We also can think that some group or individual could build a bomb and blow up a city which would mean total war but against whom do we retaliate and with what?
In the James Bond Theme we have the set off a bomb and everybody else will too. From Mad Max to Book of Eli all post nuclear Apocalypse is based on this premise , somebody fired first but we don’t know who. As in The civil war or the shot heard round the world. (More on That)
First in 1979 I read in the Book of Lists that we along with Russia had then enough nuclear missiles to blow up the planet 7 times. that’s seven with a big F-ing times. Again using French to underscore that if we let off all our bombs there wont be much if anything left of this planet. Even a one round blast from the current governments with the capabilities to retaliate we could make the planet uninhabitable for a few hundred thousand years or more.
It's probably lizard mind control tactics, undermined by the government taking control of censorship during war , and since WW2 the government has the right to sensor military related films. Really this is the thing about if a war movie is approved by the military they cooperate with the movie production. This means lend equipment troops and archive footage or not.
The point is They would want people to think they could set their bombs off and we'd survive into some bizzarro world where people forgot all about the past except how to keep their 63 mustang in perfect shape. In the best light they want you to be prepared to turn into a total Psycho for the last drops of gas and water. Whats interesting is Again THEY know better. It makes me think they are conducting a study, yet the obvious prediction would be conditioning us always to accept the eventual deployment of the big one's.
Just to show that I have been right on some thoughts in the past. In 1978 when I was a teen soldier they brought in special crews to practice using the cannons I worked on, I was a Gun Bunny, but If you Know I was and am Tillery to the core. What set me off was they had a lot of security around one of the guns in the unit , go figure guys with guns spooking me, I checked it out by approaching and getting chased off. They said I had to have a nuclear clearance. As I played dumb I watched them load a round into the howitzer , think bigger than a tank. Watching that round was the last straw in my career as military.
I SEEN as in a vision the future of war and even though I didn't know it was the beginning of The DU which is leading to the mini nukes, which aren’t anything like mini. A planned escalation of evil , designed for maximum death at minimum cost. Mini nukes are the Uranium tipped bullets . For illustriating We have used what they call depleted uranium tipped weapons on enemies since the first gulf war, the gulf war to end all gulf wars.
that 99% of the population don’t even know what it is shows just the amount of control that somebody has on the brains of the We The People's. As far as I know in Hollywood the only mention even slightly of DU is a tank movie with Denzel Washington and Godzilla. Both of these and all mention of DU are one line insertions to put a positive spin on the use of bunker busters, super bullets on at Least some giant morphed out nuke powered lizard.
How cool we have guns on Helicopters that can cut right through concrete buildings!!! I mean who doesn't want an automatic machine gun with bullets that burn through concrete. Really explode through concrete, big dif. As in during the explosion particles of radiation are released into the area.
I wish I have the time to go into how much Hollywood is on my mind, as I look over a lifetime of influences that shaped me into the Yam That I Yam movies have to be my biggest influence. I enjoy them , of course the ones before THEY implicated the war act I yakked on after 9/11 which according to Hollywood never happened. On Tv it was agreed that mentioning it would hurt the moral of the homeland, in Hollywood it was considered in bad taste plus the government had has the power to sensor as in the interest of National security anything related to 9/11 as long as we are in war state , they have control of Hollywood , not that they haven't always strived for that control. It's now one of those things we accept as protection.
Since I was supposed to be predicting the next year you must be thinking I'm thinking of a nuclear future. Well it already is a nuke present so why not. Part of the plan back then was to one day drop a nuclear tip bomb that would dig through concrete and the blow up the number one bad guy , his wife and kids, his guards and any one who personally knows him straight to sleeping with the fishes , only in their mafia styled wet dream they want them turned to dust. That this bomb could be delivered by a person trained to kill by video games without conscience on order from a politician who is a paid part , or true believer in the MIC one world (Ours) Kill first then peace-afy the survivors , which is just the war branch of the Ptb who really see it as areas of control to maximize profits.
After all its really that their would be no law against owning stock in both Pepsi and Coke. If we live long enough this will be a huge part of OH 12 the choice they want us to make next year. My bet is that the fascist corporate bought candidate will win, the most of course they all are either Coke or Pepsi which is like the choice of no choice at all.
Sadly for the Peoples They will recycle billions of dollars , moving it from division to division , to keep us occupied and waiting for our big chance to have no chance at all.

Anyway I like The governor and even seen him wrestle in his later days. I know more about his history than anyone in politics today and I'd take his record over anyone in office.

If Paul resigned and had Ventura on the ticket I would vote for him. I think in the least the campaign would be shown as the scam it is in that its either Coke or Pepsi you decide. Consider part of his platform is ending foreign wars and Pepsi and coke want more and better war it could make We the people go for an RC?
It will all depend on how the money comes in and is spent by the Paul ticket. I mean Obama won with billions still in his pockets. If Paul suddenly gets millions in contributions this is the Money or PTB buying into him. He could say you know save your money I wont be bought , yeah. I mean Yeah , it's a disgrace and the number one problem in our government that is fixable , take the money out of campaigns as long as it's big business or making money it wont change itself.
Think of it this way wouldn’t coke and pepsi want you to take the challenge buy one of each and decide which you like , or better yet try a six pack or a case of each. Then decide except that in 2 to 4 years things change so you do the challenge again . Only now days the new challenge starts the day after the old one, this whole coming year is just the culmination of an ad campaign designed to make us believe we have a choice.
In fact with no facts, its not the choice they care about it's the belief you choose. Of course that's old news just bringing it up because they wont shut up about the choice. Non stop campaign for the whole year , think they will have anytime to fix any problems or do the job they are paid off to do?
The big decider is the economy as far as coke or pepsi anyway Paul will surely use it if he runs . As RC he could point out that both of the choices are multi-millionares. Neither ever actually represented their countries by serving in the military and for the capper the guys who own Pepsi Own Coke.
It will be a great time to take the throw out your tv or cut your cable wire challenge,
try it for a month or the year and see if you miss it.
Back to nuclear destruction while they will almost for sure use at least one acknowledged mini-nuke bunkerbusting bomb of a large caliber next year the big threat powers the stupid tv and this computer. It is the 104 nuclear reactors aging away in America and the hundreds in Europe , there is the doom.
A cloud that kills millions in the county is basically what the Hopi said would happen , in our mind controlled state we see this as bombs coming from an enemy, is this a block to the sight of nuclear towers everywhere each of which could cause immense horrible suffering unto death? Not to mention what ticking time bombs or accidents waiting to happen they are to begin with.
I know its easy to see or say this after Japan that nuclear plants are dangerous, especially in a world getting more shaky if nothing else. Lets put it this way the plants are designed to meet certain amounts of disaster. As they lyingly said in Japan the plant had been designed to withstand a two and a half foot tsunami wave not a three. The numbers are a big thing when you count them as in the A 5m. Earthquake or a 7 or 9m. The measure of quakes,. But what does that even count in say crustal slip. It's doubtful most of the plants can even survive the New madrid/reelfoot complex big one.
Ok this year they closed a nuclear power plant because of jellyfish, and water, so it wont take the whole planet shaking or a giant four and a half foot wave to set off all the reactors in the country, with some being maybe saved from going all Hopi on our butts. Theirs no way to expect all of them can be saved. So anything big enough to be considered a 2012 event in North America and Europe will involve a creaky, aging, unsafe at any speed nuclear reactor, or really over 200 plus of them.
Bummer that those who survive will become mutants of the monster, and eventually hungry CHUD. Not to dis Mad Mel but I don’t think we will be converting our hot rods into armor cars and wearing tire treads , even though the wasteland part he would have right. These wastelands will vary in accordance to what happens to the reactors in that area. While they have a pretty big kill radius that will change due to wind direction and speed, those in the kill zones wont have to worry.
“There will be a time, when luckier is him in the grave than him still alive. And luckier still is them that were never born.” Love that line, from the Bible of course it kind of sets the bar for a bad day.
That stuff has time, I think it would be a mistake to worry about that yet. Maybe its just my lifestyle but I will have to work on even making it to the December to Remember. We have 12 months to think and act. If your reading this you now have no excuse to not attempt to make every moment special , I know about double negatives , which would be what you are doing by not living now because of a fear or lack of future. Once again for us the challenge is living in the now,. And you know what? it's even harder because you have to find a way to enjoy living in this now. No matter what is thrown at you in the future the only real thing you can count on is the moment.
This is a blessing of 2012 if it makes anyone think life is short and getting shorter they are right.
Every breath should be noticed and enjoyed. I've been saving this because I don't understand it, I think maybe I have been able to actually slow my perception of time down, not an easy feat as it is a seemingly normal thing to do, watching your life buzz on faster and faster.
We spend our childhoods as fast as we can to reach the golden age of adult, then of course we spend the rest of our lives wondering why we wanted to grow up in the first place. It truly is amazing how fast decades go by once you have five or more of them. Technically this is the seventh decade I have lived in , the last one the one from hell seems like it took a few bad years.
Actually the Decade from Hell isn't over yet, if there's a 2013 then maybe , but were still in the same boat. I could wax nostalgic , people like to think it's always been like this , but it was not, things changed. The sixties were a long decade too lasting really into 73 as well. Sounds stupid so you have to think about it. One of course time is not beholden to Any calender. It is not there because it is measured, mostly inaccurately anyway, considering it's measured as a constant when it actually fluctuates. My big proof is spend 15 minutes in court , then 15 say eating ice cream and see if its the same time span.
I personally don’t think time needs anything to keep moving on. The big knock on the big bang is that time was already there when or if it happened. Technically there could never have been an “In the Beginning”. Either way it was a long time ago, and no matter how we got here , time wise we are living in the now. Time wise there is no beginning or end, Only right now actually exists. I know the future, time will continue to exist, I we they us will not at least in our present state always be a part of it.
Breathe deep smell it feel it in your lungs exhale that is a moment. Before rebreathing examine that moment how did it feel? Rate the breath was it everything you thought it should be? Ask your senses how it went, did they like the breath? What about the lungs did you give them a good stretch?
The longer you keep this up the slower time will move. With a few breaths of this you can even watch a clock with a second hand slow down. If we ever got a world conscientiousness this would be a good exercise for humanity to try. If we could slow down time we can then begin to try to enjoy it. This extra time we have for now. In other words living to just get through this year next year or even tomorrow is always a waste , a waste I wouldn't recommend, end as we know it or not.
I've been attempting to sugar coat the future as in next year because I don’t really see any reason to get all worried about it now, in fact how much worry should I ever of given to the future?. In retrospect I cant even remember 95 percent of the worries I had .
Not that worry is bad I mean I think there are very valid areas of concern, it's that living your now in fear of any future is wasting the sure thing, that breath you had was it spent on the present, or wasted on the past. Time is a funny thing I predict we will learn that eventually.
Maybe I have given myself up for dead but I think this next year with or without , mostly with, a end of the world as we know it is going to be an interesting time. My biggest fear is wasting my life in fear , whether I live to see the big day or the day after.
This includes me in a way but all of Us? Who have spent all those breaths on the Mayan long count and even us other doomers who see the planet on a downward spiral out of control , sure to crash and burn just not because of a prediction or two or twenty or really a lifetime worth of predictions. Time will go on.
So it's best to prepare for life going on and on. It's the safe bet, and it's all a gamble the chances we take or not are what make us who we are Take a Chance on yourself. Take a chance on me I could be right? . Take a chance on life it it so amazing, not always fun, but when you consider the complexities and the odds we'd never be born we are lucky to have a breath let alone a lifetime to figure it out.
It's so wrong to worry about TSHTF if it comes at the expense of your life in the now. Plus its already hitting the fan if you figured TSHTF out yet. And we are adapting learning how to cope as we go. I trust you as well as me to make these changes as necessary when we absolutely have to. Of course after we whine and moan and figure out that there is no other way .
I'll also be honest when we talk about the end as we know it , it really comes down to our own end we are talking about, its ego that we even care if other life goes with us. Which is a good cue to start coming to an end, of the rant , or conclusions to the predicating.
I usually look around the net for the real fortune tellers feel for the coming year. I read everywhere on the doom sites that WW Three is coming soon. To me something smells of agenda , are they keeping us informed? Or pushing a story for profit. I read a great quote from Mark Twain that fits here too. “Those who don’t read paper's are uninformed. Those that read them are miss-informed.” Miss information will be even bigger than it was last year.
As always trust no one and you'll be okay. I can safely predict that it will be constant bombardment of fear and celebrity next year. They will want us to spend our time worrying or admiring the One percent, after all they feed off their self -importance either and sometimes both ways. The more attention we give them the more they want.
Its important to remember that it all comes from the same source. From the politicians to the newest 18 and a quarter year old blonde to sell a billion records. From the Sports Hero to the TV Preacher, Anyone or thing on television every ad its all saying look at me!! Love me hate me trust me fear me. Like in wrestling pay to come and boo me or cheer me , as long as your paying.
This notice me thing goes all the way through all humans apparently even lizards have it, you'd think they at least would see the inevitable failure of trying to have it all. Not only can they never have it all if they get it they wont be able to keep it. They know they are fated to failure , a nice irony is that they are trying to enslave us , yet they are already slaves to their greed, slaves to their excess , and just like us doomed to our fate.
I pity them the wave of conscienceness when the realize where they went wrong not that they will realize the horror of their actions , they will at least think how could we being So Smart, have been So Stupid?
Course we could be headed for a dose of that ourselves, and most of our problems are in fact Stupid. Surely the way we are attempting to fix them Qualifies as stupid. Another prediction we will see a lot of stupid in 2012. If anything will get me through it will be seeing the humor in just how stupid things get. Maybe I will be disassociating but if given a choice of laughing or crying , if and while it's still a choice I'll be laughing if at nothing else the absurdity of it all.
And lastly I will ask The best Oracle I have found The Magic Eight ball. Will I have the guts to ask it if my end is as I know it in 2012? think even it will know what I'm talking about? Last year I asked if 11 was going to be a better year it said yes , it was right, I'm actually much better now. Cue the laugh (Heh Heh Heh ) .
Really I wont ask about that because I don't want to know, why ruin the surprise, I am more than happy waiting to see, this is the fun part.
I predict that if you live fully, rejoice in the nectar of life, which includes becoming the human you see yourself as inside.
Remember 2012 or not if you dream is to get drunk stoned and stupid and stay that way the time is running out to ever GET it. Don't quit your jobs unless you hate them , but don’t live with your head down trying to get through, no matter where you are you are still breathing right?
I truly believe True Happiness must be earned, most of this comes from liking who you are, and a lot of that is how you like the things you do. Pride is a very tricky emotion, nice but you have to know when to lose it. But actually being a person you would be proud to be is not all vanity. Everyone has a dream, if yours is doable well do it.
Dare I say it spend the time becoming better people, I know with me this year becoming an enlightened being and all I'm nearing that perfection that I've always dreamed of, so that will be how I spend at least a few days of the next year on. Course we enlightened know the truth you cant really be perfect because nobody will like you if you are.
One question I don't have to ask The magic eight ball is will next year be boring , you don't have to be Nostradamus to see that. Or as the pragmatist would say future ? What Future.? Mad White dog.
To many times the reading is designed to make you feel good about the person you already see only deep inside you or more to point the person you think you really are. I do think it can be useful for timing if your looking to do something bold or new , find a time when the stars are not against you.
trouble with me of course is for maybe ten or more years my my readings always said wait till next year. Up until my last reading I supposedly am now in my house. And guess what I will be for oh like the next year an maybe a half. Go figure, but I always thought just when things get good for me , thats when I die/move on whatever. I'm just that kind of guy, and it fits the profile of a true doomer.
I wont get into my last reading because I don't like to brag, plus what on the planet do I have to brag about. Not to mention I'm still pretty sure I am human and as such we tend to focus on the things we want to hear filtering to forgetting what doesn't fit our imagined profile of ourselves,
I've had enough readings of my sign and even done my numbers 1 5 9 , freaky enough these are not only my birthday numbers they also pop up in my name. Nice coincidences an once again it must be nice that I am almost always a one or a nine, I mean what else would I be? I only mention it because one and nine or kind of like alpha and omega first and last.
As I started I gave this nice person my birthdate , course if she wasn't nice no way , I'm also Scorpio and as my last reading told me I'm addicted to secrets. Thats why after seven years on this site , nobody knows my first name , or at least you didn't get it from me. And its not personal , and its not fear, its just the way I like it, and it doesn't really matter. I Yam what I yam. and thats all that I yam . thanks Popeye.

I've been called a lot of things, more like dog breath, and while I'm live and let live I in no way would want to be a dog, I mean if thats my fate so be it. I really like this one I mean unless I'm mistaken it says I'm an enlightened being, and it's getting bigger, I dont know hpw many white dogs there are but somewhere between telling me how good looking I am it says that I will sit next to Bhudda someday. Because thats the god I'd rather hang with it's but it's no big deal. In fact it's all no big deal.
Whats really sad is yes I've always known this, That I am the center of the universe, because we all are. Often when I say that people say you must really think your special; and uhm center of the universe, hard to argue that I don't. I might of read it somewhere , I dont think it actually came from any religious source , but I believe that all life is unique, its a math thing , but we are the sum of our reactions to experience,. No one could have the exact same experiences , and come up with the same reactions , so by making decisions we develop a persona, unique to our situations. Though I'm sure theres plenty of similar lifetimes nobody could of had the same life as I have. And nobody will ever have it again. I am unique although life has been going in circles forever , and probably will go on I am the One and Only. And so are you. So is every life. Therefore their is a sacred quality to all life.

I know full of it but once you have been enlightened what else is there but to help others find it. sad part is it takes many lifes to get to this point, and even though I knew it was who I was supposed to be , I gave it up because in this life I am not worthy , I've made to many mistakes, my life sucks, mostly especially if you consider what we were raised to believe a good life is, you know get a job get a spouse raise grandkids retire and die. ? that is a nice life, It was never my life but if I was to recommend one I'd say under usual circumstances its not bad at all.
I did none of that because I never wanted that, and I'm a jerk that no woman(Maybe Yaddle)would want once she gets to know me. But thats another story and as an Enlightened being it doesn't matter who I am, in fact the more enlightened you get the more you realize things just don't matter.
I'm talking now as a white dog , even though my ancestors would shudder at the words. If I am an enlightened being there's a duty involved I should be out there wising the peops up. then there's W.C. Fields rule's, one of them being never smarten up a chump.
I'm still coming to grips with my new found enlightenment , it's hard to keep from getting a swelled head now that I know it all. Think about it a seat with the gods or god I must really be something? I told one of my friends about this and to give him an example this kind of ranks me like an apostle, at least a prophet.
whats funny is that as an enlightened being one of the first things to go is ego. So if I'm proud of my new status I lose it.
There are other things good things you lose and good things to be gained so I'm not knocking the gift, and it is a gift , I didnt pick where or when I was born , and if I had I probably wouldn't of picked this one, I was going to make the point of the paragraph I pasted it says that I basically become a new person , which will still be me. The good point is that all the baggage from my past even past lives are all forgotten I mean good grief I never have hoped for salvation I always thought it was and should be a matter of works and deeds, a balancing of your life , yes the scale thing. Nobody was ever perfect its your balance of life in the end who you became. I'm not going to turn this new chance down because I know my life I can use whatever help I can get , and I've had plenty.
In fact theres something thats been there my whole life protecting me I never truly understood it as in why me but I've seen it too many times that I know it's beyond just "butter side up luck". You can barely see it but theres a scar from a whole I put in my face , when I fell on an arrow as a kid. I look at it its maybe two inches from my right eye. I mean it was bad that I ran and fell holding an arrow but if I had to have a new hole in the face they picked a safe spot. Stranger still I had only one dimple so the arrow balanced me out.
I think this will have to get into a second post because If I am enlightened theres somethings I can tell you that might make your time better. The first thing is making Peace with you maker. Annunaniki aside if you choose to look for god , look around you first. discover the miracle of life , which is that we exist at all. The best place to find him/her/they is to look inside yourself. Find the part of yourself that is God. Our physical selfs might have evolved or been engineered but the life force that is us has always been, You are GOD.

I posted that on another site thought I'd drop it here as well. That was like a week or so ago. Still looking for the pros and cons of being the new and improved me, I think improving me is a lot more fit. I mean if I get this right the enlightening is the easy part, I still haven't really put it to the test or gotten some use out of being a White dog.
The Pro so far is one the knowing that you know part. I like that before I only thought I knew. The con is not really sure what I know except that I have a great peace.
The pro peace of mind, and I think my aura is growing and there is a light that shines from me. the con is I haven't seen a whole lot response what I'm looking for is to brighten someones day.
Just a little. What else am I here for? It would be easy to just take care of me in the short term I have never cared about the long term anyway. As I understand it I have something to do in the future that I have to do. I don't think in the negative and I don't want to overplay my importance. It could be that I have as small a part as to point someone in just the right direction, or even influence someone who then plays out the role demanded by fate to cause a change in the future. Sadly it could be like the guy who critiqued Adolf Hitlers painting, of course turning him into a politician. Thats scary I mean if people would of bought his art the PTB would of had to of made somebody else the bad guy. Not that the fates didn't pick the right man for the job.
What has to be scary for me is "Monkey See Monkey Do". So if I'm to make a glancing blow on the future I want to give it a good bounce. If I influence some future somebody I hope its the right way. I hope its obvious like I get "A Sign:" but if it was that easy they wouldn't need an enlightened being. This is really full of myself but in the KJVII John the Baptist was the one who gave Jesus Christ his legitimacy. For good or bad . I mean talk about a fated meeting according to the bible that is John the Baptist was the expert at the time. The peoples asked him what he thought of Jesus who was also semi competition. Of course if he would of said you have no talent I think you should be a politician we'd never have heard the story.
According to accepted Christianity That was John's job. He was after all considered an enlightened being who two lines after him proclaiming that Jesus was the son of god his head ends up on a dinner plate. I can do that everybody's got to go sometime. Its like a double edged sword right now they need me so I'm protected , once I do my fate then I'm on my own, and probably expendable.
If that's my fate a part I play my only worry is that I hit my mark and say the right lines. One of my favorite movie lines is from Moby Dick " you and I have rehearsed this scene since before time began. " I look at it this way around this scene I play there is a whole life. This enlightenment is mine to give it may make me feel special but until I find an acceptable way to share it in a useful way it's not complete. Or I should say I don't want to waste it.
Next up is what do I set up a religion, I am a holy man I think I have that rank. As I told some friends/ customer if you know anybody that need their souls worked on I can do that now. Like I told my dad yeah another skill I have that will never make a dime. It's alright though I wouldn't know what to charge anyway.
I think I'll pass on the religion way to may ways to get it wrong. And whatever I do it better not be wrong . Peace B

Piasa Bird talk part 2
The reason it fits the Piasa is its important to know who's telling the story.
When a local chief, Ouatoga, whose fame as a great warrior extended far beyond the region, separated himself from the rest of his tribe, fasted in solitude for the space of a full moon, and prayed to the Great Spirit to protect his people from the Piasa. On the last night of his fast, the Great Spirit appeared to the chief in a dream,
This is I guess artistic license , but what it really gets down to is that Ilini couldn't of figured it out or accomplished such a great deed without the Great Spirit helping out. In this speak , the whole many moons ago is pretty much Hollywood via dime novel speak.
What this is is code because the great spirit is Yahweh in disguise. Or maybe Jesus from when he was a Mormon.
Which is another great local story Joseph Smith was around Missouri for awhile. In other words it says two things one it diminishes Oatagwa and the Illiniwek because they didn't think up and enact this great plan, god did, and two live right dont make god mad or he will send Piasa birds at you.
Its also not what we locals consider the real story. Maybe its because of its simplicity and beauty its far better than the Official tail. That said most of the points are the same . A major difference is in the beginning of the story , where the difference lies is in the local story That a piasa was getting old and it was getting harder to kill the deer that it had lived on for years, it started attacking humans mostly carrying away children and killing old people , easier game than the deer no antlers. a council of local chiefs in the area got together and Oatagwa basically volunteered , to deal with the Piasa .
Whats different is right from the start A piasa bird not The Piasa bird. And it wasn't out destroying villages it was eating people that were easy targets. Like a man-eating tiger , most get to old to hunt their usual prey and hunt humans because they are much easier prey. It was said to attack mostly when people were alone , children would of been easy meals.
I've often wondered if this wasn't a dragon story copied and changed to fit the painting, . If so then brave sir Oatagwa hid men all around the brush of the area and dressed as an old woman and walked through the trap until he caught the eye of the Piasa. We think that's kind of important I don't know why its a big deal but because it makes sense that's what the bird ate.
The end of the local story is covered in some of the legends , but they basically painted the Piasa both as a testament to the great deed, also as I've said as a warning to travelers. They didnt kill all the piasa just the one . Whats strange is that the earliest explorers saw two birds.
Considering theirs no real way of knowing or ever would of been of proving the story , as the bird died it rolled into the river and was catfish food.

Definitely not the Piasa but the end of the story caught my eye .The lone Indian could not reach his home because the huge enemy bird, Wochowsen, at that time made such a damaging wind. Thunderbird is an Indian and he or his lightning would never harm another Indian. But Wochowsen, great bird from the south, tried hard to rival Thunderbird. So Passamaquoddies feared Wochowsen, whose wings Glooscap once had broken, because he used too much power.
A result was that for a long time air became stagnant, the sea was full of slime, and all of the fish died. But Glooscap saw what was happening to his people and repaired the wings of Wochowsen to the extent of controlling and alternating strong winds with calm.
Legend tells us this is how the new Passamaquoddy thunderbird, the lone Indian who passed through the cleft, in time became the great and powerful Thunderbird, who always has kept a watchful eye upon the good Indians. Cleft in Time was interesting.

It has been estimated that a bird of this size would be capable of lifting a young buffalo calf or small child off the ground. Any bird this large would need a large thermal updraft to help hold it aloft in any long flight. There is almost always a large thermal updraft in front of a moving storm. This would of course give the impression that these large birds, Thunderbirds, were bringing the storm with them. Hence the name Thunderbird. This could be a Piasa , ? I certainly though condor,

American Indian lore is filled with stories of strange, monster birds with enormous wingspans and the propensity to carry away human victims. They called these creatures "Thunderbirds" because the Legend of the Giant Bird claimed that their flapping wings made a sound like rolling thunder. The birds have been described as having wingspans of 20 to 40 feet or more; hooked talons; razor-sharp beaks; and sometimes descriptions which seem oddly close to Quetzalcoatlus, one of the pterodactyls of prehistoric times.
But not all of these stories and accounts date back to the times of the early Americans. Most of them come from times that are not so long ago.... and are disturbingly close to home.
One modern day "flap" of Thunderbird sightings began in April 1948, according to Loren Coleman in his book, CURIOUS ENCOUNTERS. On April 4, a former Army Colonel named Walter F. Siegmund revealed that he had seen a gigantic bird in the sky above Alton. He had been talking with a local farmer and Colonel Ralph Jackson, the head of the Western Military Academy, at the time. "I thought there was something wrong with my eyesight," he said, "but it was definitely a bird and not a glider or a jet plane. It appeared to be flying northeast... from the movements of the object and its size, I figured it could only be a bird of tremendous size."
A few days later, a farmer named Robert Price from Caledonia would see the same, or a similar, bird. He called it a "monster bird... bigger than an airplane". On April 10, another sighting would take place and this time in Overland. A huge bird was spotted by Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Smith and Les Bacon. They said they thought the creature was an airplane until it started to flap its wings furiously.
On April 24, the bird was back in Alton. It was sighted by EM Coleman and his son, James. "It was an enormous, incredible thing with a body that looked like a naval torpedo," Coleman recalled later. "It was flying at about 500 feet and cast a shadow the same size as a Piper Cub at that height."
Then, on May 5, the bird was sighted for the last time in Alton. A man named Arthur Davidson called the police that evening to report the bird flying above the city. Later on that same night, Mrs. William Stallings of St. Louis informed the authorities that she had also seen it. "It was bright, about as big as a house," she said. A number of sightings then followed in the St. Louis are, but ironically, just when the public excitement over the bird reached its peak, the sightings came to an end.
Sightings of strange birds have not ended in Illinois and in fact continue today. One of the most exciting, and frightening, Illinois encounters occurred in 1977 in Lawndale, a small town in Logan County. On the evening of July 25, two giant birds appeared in the sky above Lawndale. The birds were reported several times as they circled and swooped in the sky. Finally, they headed straight down and reportedly attacked three boys who were playing in the backyard of Ruth and Jake Lowe. One of the birds grasped the shirt of ten-year-old Marlon Lowe, snagging its talons into the cloth. The boy tried in vain to fight the bird off then cried loudly for help.
The boy’s cries brought Marlon’s mother running outside. She later reported that she had seen the bird actually lift the boy from the ground and into the air. She screamed loudly and the bird released the child. It had carried him, at a height of about three feet, for a distance of about forty feet. She was sure that if she had not come outside, the bird had been capable of carrying the boy away. Luckily, although scratched and badly frightened, Marlon was not seriously injured.
Four other adults appeared on the scene within seconds of the attack. They described the birds as being black in color, with bands of white around their necks. They had long, curved beaks and a wingspan of at least 10 feet. The two birds were last seen flying toward some trees near Kickapoo Creek.
Thats what I have seen including the white band. This is the Lawnvale incedent.July 25, 1977 Lawndale Illinois it was around 8:30 p.m. when Marlon Lowe a 10 year old boy was running for his life. He was playing with two friends in his family back yard when suddenly out of no where two huge black birds came out of the sky and began pursuing one of Marlons friends Travis Goodwin happily, Travis managed to escape by jumping into the swimming pool. Then the two switched there attention to Marlon. Marlon ran away as fast as he could but it was not fast enough. As he w as running he felt the talons of one of the birds grip the shoulder straps of his sleeveless shirt. Next the boy weighing 65 lb. was lifted of the ground 10 ft. Screaming and shouting at the top of his lungs as the bird easily carried him 40 ft. through the air from the back yard to the front yard. His parents Ruth and Jake Lowe heard the screaming and ran out side so did two family friends working near by Ruth was the first to see this horrific sight that would froze her blood. There her son was being abducted by a huge black bird resembling a Condor, punching up at its legs with all his might as his feathered kidnapper carried him aloft. Seconds later however, one of his punches must have hit home, because the bird suddenly opened his talons and dropped him to the ground before souring away with its mate. The four adults ran to the boy and discovered to there relief that except for a frayed shirt where the bird had grabbed him Marlon was physically ok. This is just one of the many bizarre accounts on file featuring encounters in North America with giant birds. Birds that should be impossible but yet seem to exist. In the case of Marlon Lowe he and his parents said the bird most closely resembled a Andean Condor, a black vulture like species with a wing span up to 10 ft. this species however is not native to North America. There is however a smaller version called the California condor which was once widely distributed across North America but by 1977 was virtually extinct in either case the structure of the condors feet in incapable of lifting and transporting anything as heavy as a ten year old boy.
Notice they talk about condors not being big enough to carry a ten year old boy. There's a lot to do with weight verses wing span , but about the biggest thing an eagle carries is a duck. up to about a three pound fish maybe a short distance.
Three days later, a McLean County farmer spotted a bird of the same size and description flying over his farm. He, his wife, and several friends were watching radio-controlled airplanes when the bird flew close to the models. He claimed the bird had a wingspan of again, at least 10 feet across. It dwarfed the small planes that buzzed close to it.
The next sighting took place near Bloomington when a mail truck driver named James Majors spotted the two birds. He was driving from Armington to Delevan when she saw them alongside of the highway. One of the birds dropped down into a field and snatched up a small animal. He believed the two birds were probably condors, but with 8 to 10 foot wingspans!
On July 28, Lisa Montgomery of Tremont was washing her car when she looked up and saw a giant bird crossing the sky overhead.
At 2:00 AM on Saturday, July 30, Dennis Turner and several friends from Downs reported a monstrous bird perched on a telephone pole. Turner claimed that the bird dropped something near the base of the pole. When police officers investigated the sighting, they found a huge rat near the spot.
Reports of giant birds continued to come in from Bloomington and the north central Illinois area, then finally further south, from Decatur to Macon and Sullivan. On July 30, the same day the birds were reported near Bloomington, a writer and construction worker named "Texas John Huffer" filmed two large birds while fishing at Lake Shelbyville. Huffer was a resident of Tuscola and was spending the day with his son when they both spotted the birds roosting in a tree. Huffer frightened the birds with his boat horn and when they took flight, he managed to shoot over 100 feet of film. He sold a portion of the footage to a television station in Champaign for a newscast. Huffer said that the largest bird had a wingspan of over 12 feet.
After the footage aired, experts were quick to dismiss Huffer’s claims, along with the reports of everyone else who reported the birds. Officials from the Department of Conservation insisted the birds were "merely" Turkey Vultures of the species cathartes aura. Not surprisingly, these claims were also refuted by wildlife experts and cryptozoologists who stated that no turkey vultures were of the size reported by witnesses. The largest flying bird in North America is the California Condor, which has a wingspread of up to 9 feet. The Condor is also on the endangered species list and is restricted to a few areas in California. There is little chance that a few stray birds traveled to Illinois to attack small children!
Another tale, related by Loren Coleman, involved the killing of a giant bird in December 1977. Strangely, this event also took place near Lawndale. Apparently a woman was on her way to work one morning when she saw something that looked like "a man standing in the road with something over its arms". The woman collapsed and was hospitalized, but later recovered. A group of men, after hearing this report, went to the spot, killed a large bird and then burned the body. The story was kept under wraps for some time for fear of ridicule.
So, what are these creatures? Some cryptozoological researchers like Loren Coleman believe that these thunderbirds may be Teratorns, a supposedly extinct bird that once roamed North and South America. If these prehistoric survivors are still around today, they could certainly account for the reports of the giant birds.
At this point, such creatures remain a mystery but one thing is sure, the sightings have continued over the years and occasionally an unusual report still trickles in from Central Illinois. So keep that in mind the next time that you are standing in an open field and a large, dark shadow suddenly fills the sky overhead. Was that just a cloud passing in front of the sun... or something else??

Giant birds of prey, the Argentinian Teratorn (argentavis magnificens), as large as a man weighing 170 - 200 lbs but with wingspans of over twenty-five feet and individual wing feather lengths as long as five feet, flew within recorded history. A twenty-five foot plus wing size would limit such a bird to more open areas such as the South American pampas or the North American great plains --- i.e., Thunderbirds --- as maneuverability around trees and shrubs would seem difficult. Feather size is estimated to have been 1.5 meters long (60 inches); and 20 centimeters wide (8 inches), similar in size to the feather from the desert southwest described in The Boy and the Giant Feather. It is not presently known if this Teratorn actively flew by flapping its wings or if it mostly soared as do present-day condors. See Evidence of the Giant Birds.
No strong proof or confirming evidence indicates anything much larger than 30 lbs or so flies anymore, and those creatures that do, albatrosses and a few of the largest condors and eagles, are marginal. No known present day flying creature has EVOLVED into anything like former sizes, and the one or two birds which have retained huge sizes have forfeited any ability of flight, their wings becoming vestigial.
